One Forward, Two Back

A great victory was had in the name of science and clone wars the other day when the British government granted a human cloning license to the guy who made Dolly the sheep. That rocked: I was happy and knew that crazy Baptists everywhere would be pissed as hell, which made me even happier.

But then to follow suit, some stupid judge rules that a test-tube embryo that's the result of in vitro fertilization has human rights, and if it "dies" the doctors can be sued. What bull, Americans are so stupid. Fortunately all the higher courts are saying that if the family that sued pursues the case, chances are slim it will get through and will probably just result in the moronic judge's ruling being overturned.

In the meantime, America continues to be a skewed land of idiots while other countries continue to forge ahead, unblinded by the fascistic holds of severe Baptistry and Catholicism.

Come on, unknown=bad? I know they call it a Puritan society, but I'd have thought everyone would figure out by now that the forest isn't going to eat you.

After all, we're the ones with the chainsaws and guns.
